Do I need to pay for parking at Phuket Airport?
Not when you rent from us. Short answer, and a nice one after a long flight.
Here is how the day goes. You land, walk out of arrivals, and we are there. Together we cross to the terminal car park, look the car over (body, tyres, air conditioning, fuel), sign, and you drive off. On the last day it runs backwards: the return time is agreed in the chat against your flight, we meet you in the car park, check the car, and you go to check-in. The car never waits there for days on your account.
When does airport parking matter?
When you drive to the airport for some other reason: collecting friends, meeting family, dropping someone off early. Then the terminal car park works like any airport car park, paid by the time you stay, with the rate shown at the entrance. Arrive close to the landing time rather than an hour early, and it stays a small cost.

What that means for the car
The first drive out of the car park is the one people remember. After a long flight, in a right-hand-drive car on the left side of the road, the airport exits and the merge onto the main road come quickly.
Take a minute in the car park before you start. Adjust the seat and the mirrors, find the indicator and the wipers, set the map to your hotel while you are still parked. The main roads south from the airport are lit and marked, so once you are on them the drive settles down.
On the return, arrive with time to spare. The inspection is the same walk round the car as at the handover, and it has to happen before you head to check-in, not while your flight is boarding.

Returning the car at the airport, step by step
Fill up on the way, to the level you received the car at. The fuel is checked at return the same way it was checked at handover.
Then drive to the terminal car park at the time agreed in the chat. We check the body, tyres, air conditioning and fuel together, and the refundable deposit goes back as agreed when the car is in the condition it was handed over.
If your hotel is close to the airport, as in Nai Yang or Bang Tao, the whole return fits easily into the morning. From the far south it is the longest drive of the holiday, so leave the packing for the night before and set off with a margin that covers a slow stretch of traffic.

How early should I get to the airport to return the car?
Early enough for the drive, the inspection and check-in, in that order. The drive depends on where you are staying: Bang Tao is about 25 minutes from the terminal, Patong 40 to 45, Kata about 50, and the rush hour and heavy rain stretch all of them.

Arriving at night
