When does a luxury car at the airport make sense?
When the arrival is the point. A wedding party, an investor visiting a villa project, parents flying in for a milestone birthday.
The airport sits in the far north of Phuket and most villas and hotels are in the middle and the south, so the first drive is a long one: Patong is 40 to 45 minutes, Kata and Karon about an hour, Rawai an hour and a half. That is long enough for the difference between a small hatchback and a quiet saloon to register with everyone in the car. On a ten minute hop to Nai Yang, it would not.
Only the first days?
Often, yes. People take a premium car for two or three days around an event and switch to something simpler for the beach days. We can deliver the second car to the villa when the first one is collected, so nobody spends a morning on paperwork.

What that means for the car
On the highway south the class shows every minute: soft suspension over the expansion joints, a cabin quiet enough to talk in, air conditioning that keeps up with a midday arrival. That is what you are paying for.
Off the highway it asks for care. The streets of Patong and Kata are narrow and lined with scooters, villa driveways on the slopes are steep and sometimes rough, and a low, long body makes both slower work. Phuket has no off-road driving, so capability is never the issue. Space to manoeuvre is. We would put a premium car on a Bang Tao villa with a flat drive without a second thought, and suggest a crossover for a house halfway up the hill above Kata.
Parking follows the same logic. At a villa with its own gate the car sleeps well; in the centre of Patong you will leave it further from the door and walk, because the tight bays by the beach are no place for a long body and scooters squeeze past parked cars all evening.
What the handover at the terminal looks like
We track the flight from the number you send, so a delay moves the meeting time rather than leaving someone waiting in the wrong place. Waiting for a late flight is part of the service and not charged on top.
The inspection is more detailed than for other classes. We photograph every side of the body together with you, check the tyres, the air conditioning and the fuel level, and only then sign. It takes a few extra minutes and protects both sides at the return.

Why book a luxury car early

Returning the car before your flight
Add twenty minutes to the drive for the return. There is one petrol station on the approach to the airport, and in the morning a queue of departing travellers builds up at it, so fill up the evening before.
For an early flight we can collect the car from the villa instead, and a taxi takes you to the terminal. Say so when you book.
