One block of questions is about documents and insurance — that is where the unpleasant surprises usually come from. The second common block is about deposits and getting them back.

Before booking
Three things come up most often: which documents are needed, where the car is delivered, and how the deposit is counted.
Documents
An international permit plus your national licence plus your passport. Without an IDP the insurance does not apply after an accident, and the police issue a fine.
Delivery
To a hotel, villa, apartment or the airport, anywhere on the island and at any hour, including at night. There is no surcharge for the late hour.
The deposit
We discuss the terms in advance and there are options without cash. The main thing is to agree them before the car is delivered.
About the car
Which class to take depends less on your budget than on where you are staying. In the flat areas an economy car is enough, on slopes an SUV is more comfortable, and a group of four or more needs a minivan.
A second driver
Added in advance and with the same documents. An unlisted driver at the wheel voids the insurance just as a missing licence does.
Child seats
We have them, but they need ordering in advance — then the seat is already fitted when you land.
On the road
Traffic drives on the left and the wheel is on the right. People adjust in a day or two; the first hours are hardest, because the indicator and the wipers are mirrored from what you know.
Filling up
An attendant does the filling; you just name an amount or say full. At small stations cash is more reliable.
Parking
A yellow and white kerb means no stopping — cars are towed from there. Everywhere else parking is free almost without exception.
If something happens
An accident: do not move the car, photograph the position and the damage, wait for the police, call us.
A breakdown
Call straight away, do not repair anything yourself. A repair or a replacement is our job.
The car is not where you left it
First look at the kerb — most likely it was towed. Then call us: the car is registered to the rental company, and it is faster to sort out through us.
