Why does everyone ask about a credit card?

Habit. At airport rental desks around the world the deposit is blocked on a credit card, so travellers land in Phuket expecting the same counter, the same card machine, the same refusal if the card is debit. We work differently. There is no counter: the car comes to you, the deposit is held in person at handover, and it goes back to you when the car is returned.

What stays exactly the same

The amount and the rules. from 5,000 ฿, depending on the model; the search shows it for your car. Held at handover, returned when the car comes back in the condition written down at the start.

Only three things can hold up the return: damage that was not on the handover record, missing fuel, and a traffic fine that reaches us after the rental. None of them depends on how you paid.

What that means for the car

The refundable deposit depends on the model, not just the vehicle class. The availability search shows the deposit for your chosen car separately from the rental price.

Landing late? Then the method matters. If the car meets you at arrivals after a night flight, the exchange counters may already be closed, so either bring the baht with you or agree the cashless route in chat before you fly. Nobody wants to hunt for a cash machine at two in the morning with children asleep on the luggage trolley.

Keep the deposit out of the holiday budget. It is not a fee. Think of it as money parked for the length of the rental: plan the trip as if you did not have it, and let it come back at the end.

Step by step

The whole payment side is settled before the car reaches you. At handover there is only the inspection and a signature.

How does a cash handover actually go?

A few calm minutes at your door or at arrivals. We walk round the car together and write down what we see: body, tyres, air conditioning, fuel level. You check the agreement, hand over the deposit, sign, and the keys are yours.

The return mirrors it. Same walk-round, same list, compared with the record from the start; if they match and the fuel is back where it was, the deposit comes back to you as you return the keys. Point out every scratch at the start, even the tiny ones, because anything on the record is never charged to you later.

Can I use a debit card?

Ask about your card when you send the dates. Cashless options exist and are agreed individually in chat before delivery, so we tell you in advance whether your card works for it, instead of discovering it at the car. If it does not, cash at handover is always the fallback.

Is there a car rental with no deposit at all?
